All Saints Habitat for Humanity helps provide affordable housing to lower income families working through the Atlanta affiliate of HFH. Annually parishioners join together over seven Saturdays to construct a house that will become a home for a deserving family. All Saints contribution of time and money allows the family to assume an affordable mortgage of approximately $90,000 at zero interest. The group is very active from May through August each year beginning with the fundraiser and culminating with the home build each fall. There are several committees within the organization including finance, publicity, volunteer coordinators, and the all important food committee. House #17: The fundraiser began on July 18 with the goal of raising $55,000 which will offset the cost of construction and materials. For all those who have contributed we thank you and if you have not had the opportunity to participate we urge you to consider helping the dream of home ownership become reality. Because of your efforts we are changing the lives for generations to come. Donations should be clearly marked “All Saints Habitat Project” and can be mailed to the Church office or placed in the collection baskets. Construction volunteers can sign up after all Masses on August 14th and 15th and there is a job for everyone – absolutely no skills are needed and all materials, tools and supervision is supplied by Atlanta Habitat. Habitat T-Shirt Time: Would your business or organization like to provide a gift to all our loyal Habitat for Humanity volunteers? During each work day we supply a commemorative T-Shirt for all volunteers and it is a great way to support the efforts of the Parish and advertise your business or organization. We have 45 volunteers each of the seven Saturdays so it is a lot of exposure for the sponsorship cost of $150.00.
